Achieve Your Full Potential
With more than 500 programs a year, CX offers a wide variety of personal and professional development and networking opportunities.
Senior IT Executive, IBM
I was introduced to Central Exchange when Kelly Lieberman nominated me for one of CX’s Stemmy Awards in 2014. She and a number of my other friends in CX highly recommended I be a part of this organization. It’s been barely three months since I joined Central Exchange and I already feel like a part of an “amazing family” surrounded by aspiring, dedicated and passionate individuals striving to help each other and grow as team! CX does a great job in bringing a good mixture of events that benefit their members both professionally and personally. Warm hosts, great conversations, delicious food and ‘fun’tastic people makes a perfect combination for an excellent organization!
Senior Program Officer, Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation
I joined CX in 2011 at the recommendation of my then-supervisor, as I had recently relocated to Kansas City and he knew I was looking to expand my network and get a better handle on the pulse of Kansas City. My membership has provided all that and more! The programming is diverse, relevant, and of top-notch quality. And I have never met an unfriendly face at a CX event. Members are welcoming, engaging, and supportive. I can’t count how many times I have recommended CX to colleagues and friends as Kansas City’s #1 resource for professional and personal development, especially for women.
Resource Development Officer, NHS
I was in a business and professional women's group before I moved back to Kansas City and when I found out about CX I realized "this is exactly what I'm missing.' It didn't take long for me to join and become actively involved. The friendships I've made, and continue to make, are indispensable to me both professionally and personally. The professional and personal development skills I am gaining are invaluable in all aspects of my life.
Director, Kansas City Office of Missouri Secretary of State
When preparing for my new role as the Director of the Secretary of State office, I reached out to mentors and those who previously held my position. They all suggested I look at joining Central Exchange, touting the many opportunities the organization provides for professional development. I learned about the Adele Hall Endowment for Advancement and Development (AHEAD) program; a program established to provide women a means to join Central Exchange who may not have the resources otherwise. I applied and was one of 8 accepted into the illustrious AHEAD program.
Central Exchange is one of the few professional organizations that develops the whole professional. My current growth and successes are due in part to my membership at this great organization.
Marketing Manager, Don Ernst Farmers Insurance Agency
I chose to be a part of the Central Exchange because of the individuals that are part of the organization, as well as the interesting, fun and educational events that I am able to attend. I have met a wide variety of intelligent and fun-loving women sharing the need to build relationships and their careers.
