Personal Development

Book Clubs

Challenge your intellect and broaden your horizons. Two book groups meet over lunch to discuss a designated book, including fiction, non-fiction, biographies and classics.

Meets: 11:45 a.m., Second Thursday of month / CX Downtown
Noon, First Tuesday of month / CX South

Career Coaching

These informal groups meet monthly to discuss career decisions and life/work issues.

Meets: Noon., fourth Thursday of month / alternating between both locations

Earn What You Deserve

Do you underestimate your worth? Are you ready to go to the next level when it comes to earnings? This special interest group meets monthly to discuss and discover the underlying issues and reasons of why we don’t earn what we say we want to earn.

Health and Wellness Programs Your Best Self Now!

In partnership with Truman Medical Center, we offer a series dedicated to providing the latest medical, health and lifestyle information available to women of all ages who want to look and feel their best.

All programs repeat the following day at Truman Medical Centers Lakewood Campus in eastern Jackson County, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Wellness Lifestyle Group

Meet over lunch to discuss a variety of topics that affect our overall health. Topics will focus on nutrition, exercise, east/west integrative approach to wellness and disease prevention, mind, body and spirit, and life cycles changes. This group will help you evaluate various resources available to create happier and healthier lifestyles for you and your family.

Meets: 11:45 a.m. First Thursday of month, alternating between both locations.

South Gardening Group

If you find yourself browsing through seed catalogues and your green thumb is itching all the time, this is the group for you.

Meets: First Monday of month / CX South

Total Yard Gardeners

From novice to expert, this group is for anyone interested in gardening. Monthly meeting topics range from beginning gardening to specialized gardening tips. From spring through fall, tours of local gardens are offered.
