Program Overview
The Board Intern program is a unique opportunity to become involved in Central Exchange at the Board of Directors level. Six interns will work with Officer level board members in fulfilling the duties of their roles for a period of 26 months. By working closely with a board officer, interns will receive mentoring, develop leadership skills, and be exposed to the planning, development and implementation of the strategic objectives for Central Exchange. Board interns must be Central Exchange members in good standing.
Duties
Work with the Officer in fulfilling her role as Chair/Vice Chair of Central Exchange board. Provide support by:
• Recording council meeting notes
• Following up on actions assigned to council members
• Communicating with council members regarding meeting times
• Other activities as agreed upon with Chair/Vice Chair
• Attend and actively participate in monthly Council Meetings
• Attend Board Meetings as needed
• Represent Central Exchange and the Council to members, the public and other organizations
• 26 month term commitment. Monthly time obligation between 4 - 6 hours
